Annual Spectra Retreat

Our Annual Spectra Retreat in the relaxed environment of the Kempenfelt Conference Centre,
features contemporary workshops for Independent School Administrators.

Our 2nd Annual Retreat occurred on Thursday January 17th, 2008, and was a wonderfully informative success attracting 21 participants. After hearing about out latest due diligence obligation (specifically, allowed employee duties while unproven child abuse or criminal charges may be pending, and effective control of bullying, ... verbal, emotional, physical, and now even cyber), we examined acceptable risk management standards and strategies for offering enriched and exciting school programming, but at a minimum of risk by our schools.

Our instructional day ended with a very practical presentation designed to help all of us prepare specific and measurable 'Individual Education Plans', for each and every one of our very unique students.

Our 3rd Annual Spectra Retreat will occur January 21-22, 2009. The retreat will begin with a dinner and evening networking sessions on Wednesday Jaunary 21st. Informational and interactive sessions will continue throughout Thursday January 22nd. Topics for this year's retreat include: School Safety and Emergency Preparedness Psychometric Testing Effective Cost Management, including succession planning, valuation, and preparing for potential financial crisis.
